President Obama’s Pro-polluter Stance:
On Friday, the President cozied up to America’s biggest polluters and killed life-saving ozone smog rules that his EPA has been working on diligently for years. What stings almost as badly as the smog is this: the White House reached into the George W. Bush playbook by delivering this slap in the face on the eve of a holiday weekend. Click here for more information how you can take action: http://www.nrdc.org/air/newcaaaction.asp - “Urge President Obama to Clean Up Coal-Fired Power Plants”:

In December 2010, EWG found unsafe levels of hexavalent chromium (chromium-6, the chemical Erin Brockovich is famous for fighting against) in drinking water in 31 out of 35 U.S. cities that were tested. This chemical shows clear evidence of causing cancer in animals and is likely to have the same effect on humans. Urge your Senators to support Senate Bill 79, which would give the EPA one year to establish a safe drinking water standard for this chemical. Sign here.

Please sign the petition to oppose this bill today.
